5TH EDITION NATION MEDIA SME CONFERENCE AND EXPO 2024

Business Registration Service (BRS) participated as an exhibitor at the 5th Nation Media #SMEEXPO2024 themed “Advancing Sustainable Economic Growth for SMEs through Green Financing Initiatives” that took place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) Courtyard in Nairobi from 20th – 22nd March, 2024.
Addressing participants and exhibitors at the event, Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Simon Chelugui noted that the government has recognized the role of SMEs and has established a standalone Ministry and Department.
The CS further noted that the Conference provides a platform for the participants to build networks, deliberate on issues affecting the sector and identify options and interventions that can enhance the role in the national bottom-up economic transformation agenda.
While appreciating the Nation media group and all sponsors of the event for bringing MSME`s to the core of development discourses to create a conducive environment, Chelugui maintained that everyone has the potential to compete for the market.
“We are working with key development and government agencies to provide sector players like NMG to raise the visibility and profile of MSMEs as key drivers of economic growth, employment creation and better industrialization innovation in our country,” he reiterated.
The exhibition offered MSMEs an opportunity to interact with potential financiers that can help them scale up their businesses, as well as other Government agencies that support and improve product quality and standardization.
