STATE LAW OFFICE INAUGURAL OPEN DAY

On Saturday, August 31, 2024, the Business Registration Service (BRS) joined the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice for the inaugural Open Day at Sheria House, Nairobi. The Hon. Attorney General Dorcas Oduor officiated the event.

The Open Day brought together all departments under AG’s Office and Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) who provided services, enlightened the public on the functions of the departments and SAGAs, as well as addressed queries and concerns.

BRS had representation from all core departments of the Companies Registry, Official Receiver in Insolvency and Corporate Services. The Director General Kenneth Gathuma led the team.

The Hon. Attorney General in her remarks to the public and participants affirmed “the purpose of the Open Day is to give the public a closer, and more intimate, look at the work and workings of the Office of the Attorney-General, with a view to expanding ways in which the office could be of greater service to the citizenry.”

She further emphasized that the Open Day will enable the Office to engage directly with members of the public, answer your questions, and, hopefully, demystify the complexities of what happens at the State Law Office.
